Coastal Home Solutions focuses on smaller home repairs, installations, mounting, assembly and maintenance work.
California handyperson exemption
Coastal Home Solutions is not a licensed contractor. Work is limited to projects that qualify for California's handyperson exemption. The total project cost for labor, materials and all other items must be less than $1,000, the project must not require a building permit, and employee labor may not be used.
A larger project cannot be divided into smaller contracts to avoid licensing requirements. Projects outside this scope should be handled by the appropriately licensed contractor.
Before scheduling
Project details are reviewed before work is accepted so the scope, access, materials and any licensing or permit considerations can be clarified.
